Visit to the Parliament

Faculty of Accountancy and Management (FAM) Lecturer Rozitaayu binti Zulkifli, with the help from UTAR Council Member Datuk Seri Ir Dr Wee Ka Siong, organised a trip to the Parliament of Malaysia on 12 October 2023.

A total of eight FAM staff participated in the visit, namely Head of Department of Accountancy Lim Wei Yin, Head of PhD and MPhil programmes Dr Eaw Hooi Cheng, Dr Angelina Anne Fernandez, Senior Lecturer K Shamini a/p T Kandasamy and Lecturers Rozitaayu binti Zulkifli, Zufara Arneeda binti Zulfakar, Logeswary a/p Maheswaran, and Low Suet Cheng.

They were brought into the Dewan Negara at 11am. Parliament Communication personnel briefed on the functions of Parliament, and the duties of the Dewan Negara and its composition. Soon afterwards, they were brought into the Dewan Rakyat for an hour to view the discussion.
