In his remarks, UTAR FEGT Dean Prof Ng said, “UTAR is happy to become an official partner to SM Wong Nai Siong. Both institutions have been maintaining close ties in recent years. We wish to collaborate in aspects such as academic staff visitations, academic exchanges, talent training, and joint academic events, which will jointly promote the effective collaboration between secondary education and higher education.”

SM Wong Nai Siong Principal Mr Lu said, “Though our school has been offering funds to needy students under the Million Dollar Higher Education Fund, more students with potential are willing to further their study in universities and colleges. Hence, we have insufficient funds to allocate to all the needy students. I would like to thank UTAR for offering this opportunity to help our students in finding the right paths for themselves. We hope our partnership with UTAR will go a long way.”

The visit by SM Wong Nai Siong also saw talks given by Division of Programme Promotion (DPP) Assistant Manager Mr Chin Yuon Loong and FEGT academic Dr Leong Sim Siong to enlighten the students from SM Wong Nai Siong about the various programmes offered by UTAR.
