STEM Workshops inspire students from SMJK Yu Hua

Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES), Division of Programme Promotion (DPP) and UTAR STEM Outreach collaborated to organise a series of engaging STEM workshops tailored for 16 students from Kelab Inovasi Digital SMJK Yu Hua on 23 March 2024 at UTAR Sungai Long Campus. The workshops, meticulously designed to foster innovation and hands-on learning experiences, were conducted under the guidance of esteemed academics from LKC FES.

The first workshop, spearheaded by LKC FES academics Dr Low Jen Hahn and Dr Shalini Darmaraju, revolved around robotics. Participants delved into the intricacies of building robotic projects using LEGO Mindstorms NXT Education Sets. In the second workshop, led by LKC FES academics Dr Tan Lee Fan and Dr Mok Siew Ying, students embarked on a journey into biomedical engineering by exploring the development of a Wireless Electrocardiogram (ECG) Acquisition Device.
