Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science
(LKC FES), Division of Programme Promotion (DPP) and UTAR STEM Outreach
collaborated to organise a series of engaging STEM workshops tailored for 16
students from Kelab Inovasi Digital SMJK Yu Hua on 23 March 2024 at UTAR
Sungai Long Campus. The workshops, meticulously
designed to foster innovation and hands-on learning experiences, were
conducted under the guidance of esteemed academics from LKC FES.
The first workshop, spearheaded by LKC FES academics
Dr Low Jen Hahn and Dr Shalini Darmaraju, revolved around robotics.
Participants delved into the intricacies of building robotic projects using
LEGO Mindstorms NXT Education Sets. In the second workshop, led by LKC FES
academics Dr Tan Lee Fan and Dr Mok Siew Ying, students embarked on a
journey into biomedical engineering by exploring the development of a
Wireless Electrocardiogram (ECG) Acquisition Device.
