community engagement. Students engaged in various hands-on experiences, from
mini-games to a scrapbooking journaling workshop, all designed to foster
personal and professional growth.
Students engaging in various hands-on activities
One of the highlights was the
Program Transformasi Usahawan project, which allowed students to
engage in sustainable crafting and support rural communities. This
initiative included activities like donating unused clothes to good causes
and participating in sustainable craft projects, all contributing to
positive societal impact.

Additionally, the Battle of the Reds KL Roadshow added
excitement to the event by distributing 20-30 free tickets to students and
staff for the Manchester Reds vs. Liverpool Reds debut game at Stadium Bukit
Jalil, which took place on 27 April 2024. The roadshow generated enthusiasm
among participants and demonstrated the power of community engagement in
sports.

Student volunteers were essential in organising the
showcase, utilising their soft skills and planning abilities. Their active
involvement provided valuable experience, boosted their confidence in
interacting with others, and inspired them to take on leadership roles in
future events.
The significant interest and positive feedback from
participants highlight the impact of the UTAR Soft Skills Showcase &
Community Engagement Event. It has led to increased registrations for USSDC
and UTAR CARE and encouraged greater student involvement in soft
skills-related activities.
