Doshin Rubber Product (M) Sdn Bhd contributes to SRIE 2024

Doshin Rubber Product (M) Sdn Bhd has generously sponsored RM15,000 to support the upcoming 4^th Symposium on Railway Infrastructure and Engineering (SRIE 2024) hosted by UTAR Centre for Railway Infrastructure and Engineering (CRIE). A mock cheque ceremony took place on 16 August 2024 at Doshin Rubber in Klang, Selangor.

The 4^th SRIE symposium, scheduled on 28 November 2024, will focus on the theme ‘Localisation via Technology Transfer’. The symposium aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, enhance local capabilities through technology transfer, showcase innovations, foster collaboration, discuss policies, highlight success stories, address challenges, promote sustainability, enable networking, and set future directions.

CRIE Chairperson Assoc Prof Ir Dr Chua Kein Huat expressed his gratitude to Doshin Rubber for their kind support and contribution.  He said, “We are incredibly thankful for Doshin Rubber’s continuous support for this and the previous symposium. Their sponsorship plays a crucial role in helping us organise this symposium, which is pivotal for fostering dialogue and innovation in the railway sector in Malaysia.”

At the ceremony, Doshin Rubber Products Executive Director Mr Lim Siau Hing emphasised the company’s commitment to supporting local educational initiatives.

The symposium will feature a lineup of distinguished speakers, including leading railway industrial players, researchers, and technology experts. It aims to provide a platform for sharing insights, discussing trends, and networking with professionals from across the railway industry sector.

The CRIE symposium is expected to attract more than 200 participants from various universities, educational institutions, and industry professionals, further enhancing UTAR’s role as a leader in educational research and innovation.
