Dr Aiman highlighted integrity and objectivity as essential components of a
code of ethics. She stressed that professionals must be honest and impartial
in all business and professional dealings. Quoting her insight on integrity,
she said, “You must have integrity while dealing with business. However, if
you have integrity but are incompetent, you may be used as a scapegoat. And
when you realise someone is doing something wrong and you allow it to
happen, that is how ethics go wrong.”
The event also included an award ceremony for students who participated in
the UKML 3043 Business Ethics and Corporate Governance Video Competition.
The winners were recognised for their excellence in depicting ethical
practices in business through their videos and were presented with
certificates by FAM Deputy Dean Mr Low Chin Kian.
The session concluded with Dr Aiman receiving a souvenir from Mr Low as a
token of appreciation for her valuable insights. A group photo session was
held to conclude the entire event.
