Participants after
the event
The Faculty of Accountancy and
Management (FAM) recently hosted an exciting Video Competition for students
enrolled in UKML3043 (Business Ethics and Corporate Governance) course to
encourage them to deeply engage with topics surrounding business ethics and
corporate governance while providing a platform to showcase their creative
abilities.
Participants were required to form
teams of five to seven members and produce a three-minute video addressing
relevant issues. A total of 126 students, forming 21 teams, registered for
the competition in the June 2024 trimester. The videos were uploaded to
YouTube on 26 July 2024 and judged by academics and industry professionals.
The event provided students with a platform not only to share their
knowledge but also to reach a wider audience. The videos raised awareness
about ethical business practices, contributing to educational content for
the broader community.
The award presentation ceremony
was held on 28 August 2024 at UTAR Sungai Long Campus. International Islamic
University Malaysia (IIUM) Faculty of Law academic Prof Dr Aiman Nariman
binti Mohd Sulaiman and FAM Deputy Dean for Student Development and
Industrial Training Mr Low Chin Kian presented certificates to the winning
teams for their excellence in producing videos for this competition. They
were also accompanied by FAM academics Dr Yeong Wai Mun, Dr Lim Wan Leng, Ms
Lai Siew Fong, Ms Lim Yee Wui and Ms Low Suet Cheng.
