Talk on Engineering Programme Accreditation Standard 2024

The Division of Quality Assurance and Audit (DQAA) organised a talk on Engineering Programme Accreditation Standard 2024 at UTAR Sungai Long Campus on 28 November 2024. The talk aimed to update participants on the latest accreditation standards for engineering programmes, attracting academic staff from the Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) and the Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT).

Dr Hasril

The speaker, Ir Assoc Prof Dr Hasril Hasini from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), delivered an informative presentation detailing the revisions in the 2024 standards. His presentation highlighted the key changes aimed at enhancing engineering education quality. These included updates to programme delivery, learning outcomes, and assessment practices, ensuring alignment with international benchmarks and industry expectations.

The event concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation to Dr Hasril by Academic Quality Assurance and Audit Dean Ir Prof Dr Rajkumar Durairaj. Prof Rajkumar also expressed his gratitude to the participants for their active engagement. The session closed with a lively Q&A segment and a group photo, marking the success of the event.

The DQAA reiterated the importance of such initiatives in maintaining UTAR’s academic quality and adherence to evolving accreditation standards.
