UTAR and Stampede Solution Sdn Bhd formalised a
dynamic partnership through the signing of a memorandum of understanding
(MoU) and a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on 12 December 2024 at Sungai Long
Campus. The ceremony marked a new milestone in academia-industry
collaboration aimed at bridging educational goals with industry demands.
Signing the MoU and MoA were UTAR President Ir Prof
Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat and Stampede Solution Chief Executive Officer Mr Kris
Uttraphan. The MoU outlines a broad framework of cooperation, including
initiatives such as knowledge and resource exchange to enhance curriculum
development, industrial study visits and professional development
opportunities for students and staff, joint research projects and career
development opportunities for students.
Another collaboration is the Education Sponsorship
Programme by Stampede Solution, which provides financial aid to deserving
students. This initiative not only reduces financial barriers but motivates
students to excel academically and professionally.
In his welcome speech, Prof Dato’ Ewe highlighted the
importance of aligning academic endeavours with industry needs. “This
collaboration reflects a shared vision to create pathways for excellence and
opportunity. We are grateful for Stampede Solution’s commitment to education
and innovation, which will undoubtedly benefit our students and community.”
Mr Kris emphasised the collaboration’s focus on
preparing future-ready graduates. “Our partnership with UTAR allows us to
cultivate talents equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to
address real-world challenges in technology and digital solutions.”
This partnership signifies UTAR’s and Stampede
Solution’s dedication to fostering academic excellence, promoting
innovation, and nurturing a skilled and adaptable workforce for Malaysia’s
evolving digital economy.
Also present at the ceremony were UTAR Vice President
for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong, Lee
Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science Deputy Dean for Student
Development and Industrial Training Assoc Prof Ts Dr Lee Kim Yee, Office of
International of Affairs Director Assoc Prof Dr Lai Soon Onn and Department
of Scholarships and Financial Aid Head Ms Tan Wear Sim. Representing
Stampede Solution were its Human Resource Manager Mr Sufian Rosli, Human
Resource Executive Ms Kong Li Ling and Nubitel Technology Chief Executive
Officer Mr Tommy Ng.
