A webinar titled “She-Health: Empowering Women Against Infections” was organised Dr Wu Lien-Teh Centre for Research in Communicable Disease (Dr Wu Lien-Teh CRCD), M. Kandiah Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (MK FMHS) on 17 July 2024 via Zoom.

The webinar featured Assoc Prof Dr Khine Pwint Phyu
from Taylor’s University Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences School of
Medicine as the speaker and Dr Zay Yar Naing from MK FMHS Department of
Population Medicine as the moderator.
The event aimed to educate participants on various
infections commonly affecting women. It began with a welcome speech from Dr
Ng Hien Fuh, Chairperson of Dr Wu Lien-Teh CRCD at MK FMHS.
Following the welcome speech, Dr Khine delved into
the significant health impacts and overall wellbeing issues resulting from
infections women commonly face. She provided detailed information on the
types of infections, their symptoms, diagnostic procedures, and preventive
measures. This comprehensive overview equipped participants with essential
knowledge to protect themselves and lead healthier lives.
The webinar concluded with an engaging Q&A session, allowing attendees to clarify their doubts and gain deeper insights, followed by a photo session. Overall, the event was highly informative, empowering participants with vital information to improve their health and wellbeing.
