UTAR was invited to visit the
Plaza Premium Group (PPG) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) on
21 May 2024 to explore potential collaborations. The purpose of the visit
was to discuss opportunities for talent recruitment, internships, and guest
talks.
Notably, PPG’s CEO accepted the invitation from UTAR Centre for Corporate and Community Development (CCCD) to deliver a talk for the CEO Talk series in June/July 2024, promising to share valuable industry insights with students and the faculty.

During the visit, PPG Learning &
Development Manager Ms Joanne Lee provided UTAR staff with an overview of
PPG’s background and its operations within the Airport Ecosystem. She
highlighted how PPG collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance the
airport community, showcasing their commitment to delivering exceptional
services.

The visit aimed to strengthen
industry-academia partnerships by enhancing graduate employability through
internships and career opportunities at PPG, and providing PPG with access
to a pipeline of fresh talent and innovative ideas. The collaboration
between UTAR and PPG is expected to be mutually beneficial, fostering growth
and excellence in education and industry.
