Congratulations to Ir Ts Wong Chee
Fui from Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES), who
has been elected as the Fellow of The Academy of Engineering and Technology
for the Developing World (AETDEW). This prestigious recognition highlights
his significant contributions to the advancement and application of
engineering, science, and technology.
The title of AETDEW Fellow is
bestowed upon individuals who are citizens of a Member State of the G77 and
have made substantial contributions to the economic and societal
advancements of their nation, the developing world, and beyond. As an AETDEW
Fellow, Ir Ts Wong Chee Fui will carry the post-nominal title of F.AETDEW, a
testament to his outstanding achievements and dedication.
AETDEW's mission is to mobilise
the engineering, technological, and scientific community in the developing
world to achieve the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
by 2030. This is to be accomplished through South-South Cooperation,
recognising the profound impact of the global digital economy and the Fourth
Industrial Revolution on developing countries.
Ir Ts Wong Chee Fui's election to
this esteemed fellowship underscores his exceptional work and commitment to
fostering technological advancements and sustainable development. We extend
our heartfelt congratulations to him on this well-deserved honour and look
forward to his continued contributions to the engineering and scientific
community.
