Kansai University, Japan and JAGAM visit UTAR to seek potential collaboration

UTAR received visitors from the Japan Graduates' Association of Malaysia (JAGAM) and Kansai University, Japan at its Sungai Long Campus on 1 March 2024.

Both parties expressed a keen interest in exploring potential collaboration in the areas of student exchange, internship, study tours, student inbound and outbound programmes, English immersion programmes and collaborative online international learning programmes.

Kansai University was represented by its President Prof Dr Yutaka Maeda, Vice President Prof Dr Takao Fujita and Division of International Affairs Prof Dr Keiko Ikeda, while JAGAM was represented by its Deputy President Mr Jake Sow Chorng Yee.

They were warmly received by UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science Dean Prof Ts Dr Yap Wun She, Office of International Affairs (OIA) Director Assoc Prof Dr Lai Soon Onn, Centre for Extension Education Director Ir Dr Lim Jee Hock, Centre for Corporate and Community Development Director Ms Lim Guat Yen, Department of Soft Skills Competency ( DSSC Sungai Long Campus) Head Ms Fook Oi Yee, OIA Deputy Director Dr Chen I-Chi and DSSC Kampar Campus lecturer Ms Erica Chua Ning Jia.
