In a collaborative effort between CFS Kampar Campus and the Rotary Club of Sitiawan, a transformative school engagement project was organised on 26 April 2024, involving over 200 students from SMJK Ayer Tawar. The initiative aimed to foster leadership skills and promote teamwork.

The project kicked off with an insightful talk titled “Grow the Leader in You” by CFS Kampar Campus academic Ms Chan Wan Ling. Ms Chan explored various leadership styles, effective qualities, and strategies for developing leadership skills. Her sharing and practical advice resonated deeply with the participants, highlighting the importance of leadership and boosting their confidence.

Following the talk, engaging team-building activities were facilitated by CFS Kampar Campus academics, namely Ms Yuvashini Salvamani, Ms Yip Mei Theen, Mr Sree Amertharaj Ratnam, Ms Muniroh binti Salleh, Ms Nurbadriah binti Mat Zain, Ms Nur Adilah Shahirah binti Shafie, Ms Sarah binti Shamshul Anwar and Mr Voon Kah Loon. These activities challenged participants and promoted collaboration, providing a platform for students to enhance their leadership, communication and teamwork skills.

Form 5 ST student Ling Xin Pei commented, “The leadership talk was insightful and inspiring, emphasising essential components of effective leadership. It left me motivated and empowered to take on leadership roles.”

Another participant, Too Jia En from Form 5 ST added, “I enjoyed the team-building activities. They were interesting and emphasised the importance of teamwork. I look forward to similar activities in the future.”
