Universitas Sjakhyakirti visits UTAR seeking collaborative opportunities

Representatives of Universitas Sjakhyakirti, Indonesia visited UTAR Sungai Long Campus on 28 May 2024. They were led by Universitas Sjakhyakirti academic Dr Rakhmat, who represented Universitas Sjakhyakirti Pascasarjana Direktur Prof Dr H.M. Edwar Juliartha, along with Universitas Sjakhyakirti staff and postgraduate students.

The aim of the visit was to explore the possible collaborations between Universitas Sjakhyakirti and UTAR, especially in the areas of postgraduate studies. Both institutions expressed a strong interest in developing joint research initiatives and student exchange programmes. The collaboration is expected to enhance academic cooperation, provide students with broader educational experiences, and strengthen the ties between the two universities.

They were welcomed by UTAR Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research (IPSR) Director Prof Ts Dr Lim Yang Mooi, IPSR Deputy Director (Sungai Long Campus) Assoc Prof Ir Ts Dr Bernard Saw Lip Huat, Faculty of Accountancy and Management (FAM) Deputy Dean for R&D and Postgraduate Programmes Sr Dr Chin Hon Choong, Office of International Affairs (OIA) Assistant Manager Ms Goo Yi Qun representing OIA Director Assoc Prof Dr Lai Soon Onn, Centre for International Student Recruitment and Education Collaboration (CISREC) Deputy Director Ms Irene Wong Hong Lei representing CISREC Director Mr Lee Choy Fong, and UTAR staff.
