UTAR inks MoU with Glodon Company Limited

UTAR signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Glodon Company Limited on 10 May 2024 at The Glassbox, The Met Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur. With the signing of the MoU, UTAR Quantity Surveying (QS) students will learn how to use the Glodon Cubicost software (a BIM Costing solution) and earn certification from Glodon. Upon successful completion of the relevant course in the QS programme, students will receive Glodon’s Certificate Level D (Basic Level).

Signing the MoU were UTAR Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min and Glodon Company Limited Vice President Mr Wataru Matsumoto. The witnesses were UTAR Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science Head of Department of Surveying Dr Felicia Yong Yan Yan and Glodon Company Limited Country Director Ms Joyce Chan.

UTAR and Glodon Company Limited will also join hands to facilitate initiatives such as joint research activities, knowledge transfer, training, and internships. This MoU is a testament to the university’s commitment in collaborating with the industry to provide its students with the relevant industry applications and knowledge to enhance students’ employment opportunities.
