On 4 November 2024, UTAR hosted an engaging talk
titled Beautiful Life: Heart Techniques to Enhance Personal Energy.
Organised by the Faculty of Accountancy and Management (FAM) in
collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurial Sustainability (CENTS),
the event took place at UTAR Sungai Long Campus and was also streamed online
with participants from the Kampar Campus. UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr
Ewe Hong Tat and FAM Dean Dr Pok Wei Fong were also present along with UTAR
academics and students. The talk attracted participants eager to explore
transformative techniques for self-empowerment and personal growth.

Dr Luo
The speaker, Dr Luo Jingshan, is a distinguished
figure in corporate consultancy, education, and personal development. As an
adjunct professor at UTAR, she brings a wealth of knowledge and global
experience to her engagements. In addition to her academic role, Dr Luo
serves as the vice president of the China Enterprise Development Planning
Institute and executive president of the International One Belt One Road
Infrastructure Chamber of Commerce. Her impressive career also includes
mentoring for government bodies and Fortune 500 companies. Dr Luo is a
renowned thought leader in branding and leadership, having made 31
high-profile appearances on China Central Television (CCTV) and other major
media platforms, where her expertise has reached millions of viewers.
Dr Luo introduced participants to practical
“one-minute” techniques for enhancing personal energy and achieving a
harmonious, fulfilling life. These concise methods were designed to promote
self-awareness, interpersonal connection, and emotional well-being.
Furthermore, Dr Luo highlighted ways to understand oneself in order to
unlock financial wisdom, recognise happiness by focusing on inner desires,
identify meaningful relationships, resolve conflicts through empathy, and
inspire collaboration by persuading others effectively. With her
straightforward yet powerful approach, she demonstrated how these strategies
could be integrated into daily routines to create lasting impact.
Throughout the session, Dr Luo stressed the
importance of self-reflection and mindfulness as cornerstones of both
personal and professional success. She encouraged participants to embrace
continuous self-improvement, pointing out that understanding one’s strengths
and limitations is vital for leading a balanced life. “Unlocking your
happiness and understanding others are essential steps in building a
successful and harmonious life,” she remarked, emphasising that empathy and
clarity of purpose are central to achieving sustainable growth.
Dr Luo also contextualised her advice within the
challenges of modern life, addressing the need for resilience and
adaptability in an era of rapid technological and societal change. Drawing
on her extensive experience, she shared compelling anecdotes that resonated
with the audience, inspiring them to approach life with confidence and
curiosity.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session,
where participants sought further clarification on the techniques presented.
The lively exchange fostered a sense of community among attendees, who
shared personal reflections and ideas for applying Dr Luo’s methods in their
own lives. The session not only equipped participants with practical tools
for self-empowerment but also encouraged a collective commitment to personal
development.
