The run of the year at UTAR Kampar Campus continued to excite with its ever-evolving themes. This year, the UTAR Kampar Run 2024 channelled the chromatic diversity of the familiar cartoon characters and unleashed nostalgic elements upon the UTAR community.
With a refreshing hue, the UTAR Kampar Run this year was titled “UTAR Cartoon Rampage 2024”. It was organised on the evening of 10 August 2024 at UTAR Sports Complex, Kampar Campus.
Organised with the support of the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) of Kampar Campus, the fun run aimed to bring a vibrant campus experience, promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise, and foster community engagement among the UTAR community.

The Organising Chairman of UTAR Cartoon Rampage 2024 Ivan Chen Ee Heng said, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone for participating in this event. True to our slogan, ‘In the world of toons, every step tells a tale’; today, we step into a journey filled with fun, laughter, and sweat. Cartoon Rampage is not just about running from starting point to ending point, it is an adventure through colourful places we love in our favourite cartoons.”

The fun run was kicked off with a customary and invigorating warm-up session. Combining a series of sonorous beats, the session was filled with rhythmic motions, accompanied by waves of guffaws among the lively crowds.

Lifting legs interchangeably in a lively and incessant manner for a whooping 10km may spell physical enervation to many, but the act of jogging and running was more than a sign of exhaustion for the participants of UTAR Cartoon Rampage 2024. It entailed the merry moments shared between friends and humans as a community as well as a perennial effort to encourage conscious health monitoring among not just the UTAR community but also others.
