In an endeavour to impart students with valuable knowledge and cultivate a mindset for academic excellence, UTAR Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS) of Kampar Campus successfully organised three talks and one workshop for Form 5 students at SMK Methodist (ACS) Kampar.

The series commenced on 1 August 2024 with a motivating session by CFS Kampar Campus academic Mr Remie Lee Ren-Yi, who captivated over 100 Form 5 students with his talk titled “How to Find Motivation Within – 8 Golden Ways”. With great enthusiasm, Mr Remie revealed powerful techniques for finding motivation from within, sharing with students the tools needed to overcome obstacles and reach their goals.

Following this, CFS Kampar Campus academic Ms Bhargkavi Pari delivered an inspiring talk titled “Study Tips for Effective Learning”. She guided students through the discovery of their unique learning styles and shed light on the importance of active participation in their learning journey.

The series continued with a talk by CFS Kampar Campus Deputy Director Mr Lim Khiew Loon, who gave a talk titled “Career Prospects for Arts and Sciences” on 7 August 2024. Mr Lim offered the participants a glimpse into the diverse degree programmes and career pathways available in arts and sciences.

Additionally, CFS Kampar Campus academic Mr Ho Wai Yew led a “Resume Writing Workshop”, where students learned the art of crafting eye-catching and compelling resumes that showcase their achievements, skills and experiences.

Ahmad Rafiq, a Form 5 student, commented “The activities were fantastic and the study tips were incredibly helpful for my SPM preparation. I feel motivated to study harder.”

Nurul Izana, another Form 5 student, added, “I really enjoyed the talks and workshop. The speakers covered topics that were not only interesting but also highly relevant to what we are going through as students.”
