CFS enhances language and accounting skills through workshops for school students

In a bid to enhance the English writing abilities of Form 5 students in SMJK Shing Chung and equip them with essential tools for excelling in the SPM English examination, UTAR Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS) of Kampar Campus hosted an immersive and dynamic SPM English Writing Workshop on 9 August 2024. Held as part of the UTAR-SMJK Shing Chung Talent Development Project, the workshop convened over 100 participants.

The workshop featured two CFS Kampar Campus academics. Mr Lionel Keith Vytialingam, the first speaker, offered invaluable guidance to the students, focusing on effective writing techniques and useful phrases. He also incorporated sample questions, helping students to understand the critical elements needed to excel in extended writing. Following this, another CFS Kampar Campus academic, Ms Chung Zi Ling, led a fun and interactive vocabulary game. The groups with the highest scores were awarded prizes.
