UTAR and OSJ Global Sdn Bhd formalised their partnership through the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on 3 April 2025 at UTAR Sungai Long Campus. The MoA outlined a collaboration to offer professional accountancy courses, particularly related to the ACCA programme.

The signatories were UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat and OSJ Global CEO Mr Joe Fang. The signing was witnessed by UTAR Faculty of Accountancy and Management Dean Dr Pok Wei Fong and ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia Education Relationships Lead Mr Ang Wen How.

Also present at the event were Inspire Professional Academy (ACCA’s approved Train-the-Trainer Provider) CEO Mr Lee Sik Weng, OSJ Global Lecturer (SBL & AAA) Mr Sivasathish, OSJ Global Centre Manager Mr Surenthiran, OSJ Global Academic Coordinator Mr Benson Lou and Maritime South East Asia Business Relationships Managers Mr Raymond Chang and Mr Ryan Ng.
They were welcomed by UTAR Teh Hong Piow Faculty of Business and Finance academic Ms Loh Chun T'ing, Office of International Affairs Director Assoc Prof Dr Lai Soon Onn, Centre for Extension Education Director Assoc Prof Ir Dr Lim Jee Hock and OIA Manager Ms Liu Dan.

“Today marks a significant milestone as UTAR and OSJ Global formalise a partnership rooted in empowerment, collaboration, and innovation,” said Prof Dato’ Ewe. He expressed gratitude to OSJ Global, Inspire Professional Academy, and ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia, emphasising the shared vision of shaping future-ready professionals. “This is not the end but the beginning of a journey to elevate accounting education with integrity and impact,” he concluded.

“This MoA is not just about exams, it’s about bridging academia and industry and preparing future leaders to tackle real-world challenges with integrity and innovation,” said Mr Joe Fang. He expressed gratitude to UTAR’s leadership and emphasised the lasting impact of this alliance on students and the nation. “Together, we are investing in a brighter future,” he concluded.
