UTAR President delivers congratulatory address at 2025 Xinwei Education Product Launch

UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat delivered a congratulatory address at the 2025 Xinwei Education Product Launch, hosted by Hainan Xinwei Education Technology Co., Ltd., on 18 April 2025 in Sanya, Hainan. The event marked the unveiling of Xinwei’s cutting-edge AI-powered educational solutions—Xinwei Beeline 2.0, Xinwei Training, and Xinwei Smart Campus—aimed at reshaping the higher education landscape in the age of AI.

The event gathered prominent figures from the education and technology sectors, including Xinwei Chairman and CEO Dr Lu Dan and FESCO International Education Executive Director Mr Cao Zhiyuan. International support was evident through video greetings from Mr Kevin Luing and Dr Diane Recinos of Berkeley College, USA. Prof Dato’ Ewe joined the event virtually, sharing UTAR’s perspective on digital education innovation.

Prof Dato’ Ewe also referenced the recent agreement between UTAR and Geely Talent Development Group, signed on 27 February 2025, to jointly establish the Xinwei Institute at UTAR. He stated that the collaboration aims to promote education and research in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, new energy vehicles, and industrial robotics. “This marks an important milestone in Malaysia-China education cooperation,” Prof Dato’ Ewe remarked.

He further stressed the broader implications of AI in education, saying, “As educators, we understand the importance of digital transformation. These products not only enhance teaching efficiency but also create greater possibilities for our students.”

The event also witnessed the signing of a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement between Xinwei Education, Geely Talent Development Group, and Navoi State University, Uzbekistan, to jointly establish the Xinwei Academy. The academy will be powered by the Xinwei Beeline 2.0 platform and is part of Xinwei’s global strategy to redefine educational ecosystems.
