Malayan Flour Mills Berhad opens career doors for UTAR students at recruitment talk

Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM), in collaboration with the Department of Alumni Relations and Placement (DARP) and the Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT), organised the MFM Recruitment & Career Talk on 17 April 2025 at UTAR Kampar Campus. The talk was presented by Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist Ms Jacy Teh.

The event attracted 177 participants from various academic disciplines. Attendees included students from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) Food Science, Bachelor of Finance (Honours), Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Accounting, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Industrial Engineering, and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Electronics Engineering programmes.

The session provided students with valuable insights into Malayan Flour Mills Bhd’s corporate background, as well as an overview of potential career paths and advancement opportunities within the company.

A key highlight of the event was the on-the-spot interview session, where seven participants seized the rare opportunity to showcase their talents directly to MFM recruiters. This immediate interaction not only allowed students to gain first-hand experience of real-world interview processes but also opened doors to potential job offers and internships. It created a dynamic bridge between academic learning and professional careers, giving students a valuable head start in entering the workforce.
