Held at UTAR Kampar Campus, the annual ceremony was organised by the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) on 5 August 2025, marking the formal transition of leadership within the student body. Beyond that, it also served as a platform for outgoing and newly elected SRC members to share their blessings and experiences, fostering mutual understanding and continuity as they looked ahead to future goals.

In his remarks, UTAR President Ir Prof Dato' Dr Ewe Hong Tat said, “The university is always open to suggestions, ideas and feedback. We also believe that the university, SRC, student clubs and societies, students, and alumni need to work together to make UTAR better, because this is our common goal. To the newly elected SRC members, let's work together to build a stronger, more vibrant UTAR.”

Passing the torch of leadership to the succeeding cohort, SRC 2024/2025 Chairperson Tan Ding Hong said, “Members of the SRC 2024/2025, I sincerely thank you for your service to the council. Despite our imperfections, we have accomplished our task as guardians of student interests and we have fulfilled the obligations of SRC. In this journey, we gained not only friendships and collaborative experience but also tested our limits and realised our fullest potential.”

Looking forward, he also passed on words of encouragement to his successors. He remarked, “We trust our successor to complete what we cannot. With the university's support, I believe you will contribute positively to students and UTAR with dedication and effectiveness.”

Meanwhile, SRC 2024/2025 International Representative (Sungai Long Campus) Farmaan Musadiq reflected on his valuable experience helping international students during his terms. He said, “As the international representative, I have met many students from different economies. All of them have different stories, challenges and backgrounds. My job wasn't just about advocating for their rights but to also understand their needs. Finding ways to balance them with the university's capacity to realistically support them—that balance is the real dedication.”

Whether it is advocating for a better student service, organising meaningful events or improving communication between students and administration, we are here to take action on the issues that matter.”
