The UTAR Career Day 2025, jointly organised by the Department of Alumni Relations and Placement (DARP) and the Career Development Club, was held on 23 July 2025 at Dewan Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik, Kampar Campus. The event welcomed over 1,500 students and graduates seeking career opportunities, networking prospects, and industry insights.
This year’s event saw participation from nearly 70 companies across diverse sectors, including finance, IT, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, and education. The layout featured one exclusive Platinum exhibitor booth at the main entrance, followed by four Diamond exhibitor booths, ten Gold booths, and 56 Silver booths strategically placed throughout the hall. These companies showcased their employment opportunities and corporate culture through engaging booth displays and direct interactions.
“I was surprised by the opportunity to speak with Genting Malaysia. I’ve always looked up to them, but it never felt like a possibility until now,” remarked a student from the Faculty of Business and Finance.
Students were able to exchange business cards with prospective employers, connect in meaningful ways, receive personalised feedback on their resumes through workshops led by industry professionals, and participate in mock interview sessions that provided a realistic understanding of the hiring process. As a bonus, registered participants were entered into a lucky draw, adding excitement to an already rewarding day. These activities helped students gain practical industry insights, build confidence, and enhance their career readiness.
This event serves to benefit both parties, as students left wiser and smiling as they built bridges to brighter futures and an industry of their own, whilst company representatives contribute to bringing their company to new heights. Though this event may end, it merely marks the beginning for the next generation of UTAR graduands.

Although Career Day 2025 has ended, it marks the beginning of new journeys for the next generation of UTAR graduands.
