UTAR Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) organised the Alumni Homecoming Day on 16 August 2025 at Sungai Long Campus. Now in its third consecutive year since its inception in 2023, the event was co-organised by the IEEE Society and the Engineering Society.
The Homecoming Day brought together a vibrant community of alumni, industry partners, faculty mentors, staff, and students with the aim of strengthening ties within the UTAR LKC FES network, while also providing a meaningful platform for knowledge sharing and exploring future collaboration opportunities.
The evening commenced with a networking dinner in the Multipurpose Hall (MPH), followed by the official opening ceremony, graced by UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, who delivered an inspiring address. During the ceremony, the faculty expressed gratitude to its valued sponsors, KSP Test Pile (M) Sdn Bhd and Allied Environmental Consultants Malaysia Sdn Bhd (AEC Malaysia), each of whom was presented with a token of appreciation.
A group photograph was then taken to commemorate the memorable occasion. The celebration continued with performances by the Diabolo Club and the Music Club, adding a lively and youthful spirit to the evening. The highlight of the night was the exciting lucky draw session, which created much anticipation and cheer among the participants.
Overall, the event was a resounding success, strengthening bonds across different generations of LKC FES alumni and reaffirming the faculty’s commitment to cultivating a strong, supportive, and collaborative alumni community.
