IMLD hosts AI training programme for Reanda LLKG International PLT & K-Konsult Group

The Institute of Management and Leadership Development (IMLD) at UTAR hosted a training programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at its Sungai Long Campus. The programme, held on 8 February 2025, was specifically designed for Reanda LLKG International Chartered Accountants.

The programme commenced with an introduction by Datuk Koong Lin Loong, Managing Partner of Reanda LLKG International PLT and CEO of K-Konsult Group. He emphasised the significance of the initiative in equipping professionals with essential AI knowledge to navigate the evolving digital landscape.

The programme featured distinguished speakers, including UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, and Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science academic Ir Dr Danny Ng Wee Kiat, who provided valuable insights into the transformative power of AI in the workplace.

Dr Danny Ng kicked off the programme by introducing participants to the fundamentals of AI and discussing its current state and future potential. His session covered various AI tools and their applications, particularly in enhancing productivity and efficiency at work. He also elaborated on how businesses can leverage AI-driven solutions to stay competitive in an evolving digital landscape.

In the next session, Prof Dato’ Ewe delivered an engaging talk on preparing for the AI era and the essential skills required for the future workforce. He emphasised the importance of continuous learning and upskilling to adapt to the rapid advancements in AI technology. His session highlighted the need for professionals to develop critical thinking, adaptability, and digital literacy to thrive in an AI-driven environment.

Datuk Koong concluded the programme by highlighting how fostering a deeper understanding of AI empowers participants to stay ahead in an evolving digital landscape, ensuring they remain competitive and future-ready.
