The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) hosted an engaging talk featuring guest speaker Mr Zachary Roland Anthony on 25 June 2025 at UTAR Sungai Long Campus. Sharing thoughtful strategies on leadership, Mr Zachary encouraged participants to inspire those around them to feel more confident, present themselves better and grow personally and professionally. The event drew lecturers from across the campus, all eager to reflect on how small, meaningful changes can uplift a community.

Mr Zachary has dedicated 30 fruitful years to the education sector. Throughout his career, he has remained consistently motivated by embracing innovation and introducing new approaches to his work. Guided by the principles of the ‘3Ps’, passion, perseverance, and performance, he remains committed and grateful for the opportunity to shape the minds of young learners.

The event began with reflective questions, inviting participants to consider their contributions in the classroom as productive educators. It then moved on to discuss the core objectives and their significance for both individual well-being and the organisation as a whole. At the heart of this practice, guided by three key elements, is the aim to set meaningful goals and achievements, embrace challenges, enhance self-care, and become effective mentors.

Mr Zachary continued by emphasising the importance of continuous learning, embracing feedback, and seeking professional development opportunities through collaboration with colleagues, alongside integrating new technologies into teaching strategies. In his concluding remarks, he shared that by unlocking our potential, we can positively influence our attitudes, behaviours and character. Mr Zachary then wrapped up the session with a memorable quote, saying, “Be Professional, Be Real, Be Fun.”
