On 18 September 2025, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) hosted the Innovation and Career Fair 2025 at its Sungai Long Campus, reaffirming its commitment to cultivating industry-ready graduates and promoting innovation-driven education. Formerly known as the Final Year Project (FYP) Poster Competition and Industry Interaction Day, this rebranded event, organised by the Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES), served as a dynamic platform for bridging academia and industry through innovation, collaboration, and career development.
The event featured final-year students from nine academic departments, who showcased their innovative ideas and research findings through creative and visually compelling FYP posters. These posters reflected a broad spectrum of topics in engineering, science, computing, and design, demonstrating the students’ technical expertise, analytical capability, and innovative mindset. Judges from industry evaluated the posters based on research quality, creativity, and real-world applicability.
Beyond academic recognition, the event encouraged meaningful engagement between students and industry representatives. Over 24 industry partners participated, providing students with valuable opportunities to gain first-hand insights into current market trends, industry expectations, and emerging technologies. These partners, some of whom sponsored sessional lucky draws, actively engaged with attendees and conducted on-the-spot interviews, highlighting the fair’s role as a gateway to employment and industry exposure.
Participating companies included ACO Tech Sdn Bhd, Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd, Asahi Kosei (M) Sdn Bhd, BM Greentech Berhad, Bridge Data Centres Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Cheng Hua Engineering Works Sdn Bhd, Cheng Corporate Management Sdn Bhd, Econcos Consultants Sdn Bhd, Enrich Tech Solutions Sdn Bhd, Gadang Holdings Berhad, Graetech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd, Industrial Concrete Products Sdn Bhd, Meru Perkasa Sdn Bhd, Metro Medic Sdn Bhd, Olympus (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, One Ocean Environment Sdn Bhd, Reconron (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, TCS Construction Sdn Bhd, Dindings Tyson Sdn Bhd, IT Usaha Engineering Sdn Bhd, Pesona Metro Sdn Bhd, Reinhuasen Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, and Unit Concept Sdn Bhd.
