UTAR Sungai Long Campus came alive on 25 September 2025 as it hosted the much-anticipated UTAR English Mastermind Competition 2025, organised by the Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS). The event drew enthusiastic participation from three secondary schools, namely SMK Jalan Bukit, Kajang; SMK Taman Desaminium, Seri Kembangan; and SMJK Yu Hua, Kajang.
Participants at the competition
The competition, designed to test linguistic knowledge and sharpen communication skills, featured five challenging sections: listening, sentence structure, grammar and tenses, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. These segments provided a comprehensive platform for students to showcase both their mastery of English and their ability to apply language skills under time constraints.
