The event commenced with an opening speech by the Dean of FAM, Assoc Prof Dr Pok Wei Fong, who emphasised the importance of translating academic knowledge into practical insights. She encouraged students to communicate their research effectively and confidently, noting that such skills are essential for their future professional endeavours.

Participants demonstrated a wide range of innovative ideas and research topics, reflecting the depth and diversity of their final-year projects. The competition not only tested their understanding of subject matter but also challenged them to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively within a limited timeframe.

The presentations were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges comprising both external and internal academics. The external judges included Pn Noor Agilah binti Abdul Latiff Janaton from the Department of Technical and Vocational Education at the Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Pendidikan Teknik, and Gs Dr Lim Ming Han from UTAR Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science. They were joined by internal judge Assoc Prof Dr Low Mei Peng from FAM. The judges assessed participants based on clarity, content, delivery, and the ability to effectively communicate key findings.

The competition served as an enriching experience for students, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. It also reinforced the importance of research as a tool for addressing real-world challenges and contributing to knowledge advancement.
