The science fair, which was filled with STEM-inspired activities, offered more than 40 free webinars, competitions and workshops as well as a virtual symposium and hands-on activities for participants to experience the fun and real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). e-KLESF 2022 not only served as a platform for students to showcase their talents and prepare for their career pursuits but it also fuelled their curiosity through STEM projects and activities.

e-KLESF 2022 was jointly organised by UTAR, ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET), The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS) and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT). It was supported by The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM). The collaborators of e-KLESF 2022 were the Malaysia Mental Literacy Movement, Multimedia University and Tunghai University.

Our main aim is to mainstream STEM in an exciting way for our children to explore and love these subjects. Therefore, even if they do not pursue a STEM career in the future, they will still be able to use them in their lives in every way. So, I hope with this KLESF; we will increase the love and interest for STEM in everybody’s mind and all the rakyat of Malaysia.”
