Techkem Group donates laboratory pH meter and accessories to LKC FES

Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) received a new laboratory pH meter and accessories worth around RM1,200 from the Techkem Group recently. The donation was delivered on 30 October 2023 by Techkem Director Ir Dr Chew.  

On hand to receive the donation was LKC FES Deputy Dean for Students Development and Industrial Training Assoc Prof Ts Dr Lee Kin Yee, who was also accompanied by LKC FES Head of Chemical Engineering Department Dr Mah Shee Keat.

Among the items they received were (1) one unit of pH meter model HT-1202 (1-year manufacturer warranty); (2) one unit of spare pH probe for replacement (1-year manufacturer warranty); (3) one unit of storage casing for pH meter, and (4) one set of pH calibration kit.

The pH meter, contributed by Techkem Group, will be allocated and placed in the Chemical Engineering laboratory for all students and staff to use. It can be used for general laboratory teaching and research activities. This contribution would assist the faculty in conducting students’ laboratory experiments more effectively in the coming trimesters.

Techkem Group has also donated items such as webcams and writing pads to UTAR previously during the COVID-19 period. Additionally, the Group donated RM3,000 to UTAR Hospital as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) project on 3 May 2021.
